Telephone Recording

Please be aware, as of 15th January 2018 all incoming calls and all outgoing calls will be recorded for training and monitoring purposes.

No-Smoking Policy

We operate a no-smoking policy within our premises. CCTV cameras are in operation both inside and outside the surgery premises.

Chaperone

All patients are welcome to be accompanied at their consultations by a friend or relative, and we will also arrange for a chaperone to be present during a consultation as required by the clinician and/or the patient.

Animals are not permitted on the premises other than those accompanying patients who are blind, or who have dogs to assist them with hearing impairment.

Interpreter

Interpreters are available for most languages including British Sign Language.  These can be arranged at short notice over the phone (except B.S.L).  Advanced notice is needed for face to face appointments.

Telephone Advice

If you require advice over the telephone, please ring before 11.30 am. The receptionist will ask for some details, this is at the request of the doctors, so that they can have any relevant information available when they ring you back.

Disabled Access

Wheelchair access is available at the front of the building. All patient services are based on the ground floor. A disabled W.C. is available on the ground floor adjacent to the Waiting Room. Should you need assistance please ask at reception when a member of staff will be pleased to help.

Results Of Investigation

Please telephone between 2pm and 4pm for results of any investigations you have.

The Veteran Friendly Accreditation scheme

Developed by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) in collaboration with NHS England, aims to enhance healthcare services for veterans in England. Here’s what you need to know:

What Is It?

  • The Veteran Friendly Accreditation program is designed for GP practices.
  • Its goal is to identify, understand, and support veterans who have served in the UK Armed Forces and their families.
  • A veteranis defined as anyone who has served a day or more in the UK Armed Forces, regardless of age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, or nationality.

Dr Anna Hunter is the Veteran Clinical Lead for the practice.
