Repeat Prescriptions

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS: Please give 48-hours notice for repeat prescriptions in writing either using the re-order form provided with your last prescription or by letter or by using the forms available in the Waiting Room. We do not accept requests for medication over the telephone.

Telephone requests will only be accepted for housebound patients who do not have assistance or in the case of an emergency.

Almost all prescriptions can be sent to a local chemist electronically.  To register for this service you must decide which pharmacy you wish to use and ask them to sign you up to EPS2 services.

Get your repeat prescriptions re authorised online

Sometimes getting to the surgery to request a repeat prescription is not practical, so we have an online service you may use to request a repeat prescription of a drug which has been set up by your doctor for repeat prescribing.

Please note, drugs which have not been set up for repeat, which were given for a single episode of illness, or which need review cannot be supplied in this way. Remember, we need 48 working hours to process your request. Prescriptions can be collected from reception (unless you submit a stamped-addressed envelope that can be used to return it to you). If you don't want to use the online form please write to us or drop in and use one of the repeat request forms available at reception instead.

Third Party Ordering Pilot

From September 2016 South Sefton CCG put a pilot scheme in action to stop third parties such as chemists ordering medications on behalf of patients.  The practice supports this pilot scheme and as such we do not accept requests from third parties.  All patients who are on repeat medications where sent a letter to inform you of this decision, along with an information leaflet please see below to download a copy.  you can also visit this website for more information CCG Website
